Description

There are several galaxies in Coma Berenices included several Messier objects. I should have started imaging those objects a few months ago when they were in the East. Currently all of those galaxies are already past the meridian by the time it is dark. Last night I tried to image M100 even though the Moon was very bright and not to far from M100. I was only able to capture 100 images (2 minute subs) before it was too low in the West.

M100 is one of the brightest and largest of the galaxies in the Virgo Cluster. It is about 55 million light years away. It is identified as a 'grand design intermediate spiral galaxy' ... whatever that means. There are several smaller galaxies in the filed of view.

I used ZWO ASI2600 OSC with 2 minute subs, 2x2 binning, gain 100, and 0 deg C.
